Some of the changes I have been making this week to migrate a desktop app to Tauri v2 are hilarious - binary size dropped by 120MB to 15MB. The Rust backend is much faster, although system API learning curve is certainly higher. Is the community techzeel of the opinion that the memory efficiency is worth the additional time to develop it, or does Electron remain the safer choice to release quickly in 2026 across all platforms?
