Cautionary Voices: Why Boosting May Backfire | Forum

Greetings,

I want to throw out a caution about using services like U4GM’s BF6 Rank Boost before you jump in headfirst.

Why people use boosting
  • The BF6 progression system is going to be grindy (objectives, vehicles, dynamic play).

  • Unlocking weapons, attachments, specialists will depend on rank.

  • Many players don’t have hours per day to dedicate — so boosting seems like a tempting shortcut.

What might go wrong
  1. Account bans or suspensions
Even with precautions, account sharing or abnormal patterns may trigger anti‑cheat systems.

  2. Policy changes / rollback risk
If EA or DICE changes their policy, they might rollback or penalize accounts that used boosting services.

  3. Loss of integrity / satisfaction
You won’t feel the sense of achievement from “earning” your rank.

  4. Scams / non‑delivery
Some boost providers may take payment and not deliver or deliver partially.

  5. Detection flags
Unusual login locations, odd spikes in progress, or improbable match logs may raise red flags.

What to do instead (or mitigate risk)
  • Use carry mode / self‑play when possible: the booster joins your party rather than logging into your account.

  • Only boost small jumps, not huge ones.

  • Change your password immediately after the boost.

  • Avoid linking boosting to your main, heavily used account.

  • Use providers with refund policies or guarantees.

If I were you, I'd treat boosting as a last resort, and only after exhausting safe / in‑game leveling methods.

Does anyone here regret using boosting for earlier BF titles (BF4, BF5)? Any stories of bans or rollbacks? Your experience might save someone from trouble.
