⁣Which came first: the chicken or the egg?

⁣The first was both a chicken and a rooster because the egg must be fertilized in order for a baby chick to appear. You only need a rooster if you want to produce fertilized eggs. If it is not fertilized, there is no chance of the egg hatching a chick.
